The Milwaukee M12 series tools seem to be good so far. I went ahead and purchased the 2471-20 tubing cutter. It just happens to be m first electric tubing cutter. There are no other brands to compare it to that I know of.
The cutter is very handy when you need to make a large number of cuts. I still find myself using my manual Rigid cutters. If I am working on a project that requires a fair number of cuts, I will carry it in.
The head of the cutters is quite small, so it will fit into areas that are normally impossible to get at with regular cutters. If you are a plumber you know of the Kopex type cutters. Well this cutter is designed around that. It basically is a Kopex cutter with a motor. With a cost of around $140, I think they are well worth the money. Check out the unpacking video below. The video also shows a few cuts on Type M and Type L hard copper, as well as a few Type K soft.
